T.O. To Be Moved Around Field This Year

Reports from Cowboys camp are that WR Terrell Owens will line-up in various positions within the offense to make it harder for defenses to cover him. Usually, the talented receiver has lined up either on the far left or right of the formation making it easier for defenses to use a double team. Now the plan seems to be to move him around more into the X, Y and Z positions which will spread him all over the field, inside the far right or left receiver, in the slot or as the motion receiver. This should make it more difficult for defenses to cover him by allowing more favorable match-ups for the big receiver against different defenders.
Since it is a new style of play for Owens, he will have to learn some different type of patterns and movements within the offense. He seems confident in the new role saying, ”I think I’m going to do whatever I can to be productive in the offense.”
