MRI Negative on T.O.’s Back

After Terrell Owens missed practice two consecutive days due to a sore back, Coach Phillips wasn’t taking any chances and ordered an MRI.  Even though the test, which was done on Monday, came back with negative results, no one seems to concerned and all parties are confident it is nothing to be alarmed about.  “We feel sure that he just has back spasms, but we don’t take any chances, ” Phillips stated.

Before missing Sunday’s and Monday’s practices, Owens had attended four consecutive practices after resting his hamstring and went full speed throughout without any apparent trouble.  During Sunday’s workouts, Owens was in the training room doing whirlpool therapy and excercising on a stationary bike, reminiscent of last year’s camp.

Owens’ status for Thursday night’s preseason opener with Indianapolis is questionable according to Phillips and probable per Owens.
