Little Hope for Former Cowboy Springs

Former Cowboys running back Ron Springs reportedly has no hope to survive.  The “Dallas Morning News” reports the 50-year-old is in a coma and has been unconscious since soon after he entered Dallas Medical City Hospital last week.  The paper also says that friends believed Springs went to the hospital to have a cyst removed from his arm.  The Cowboys website indicates the cyst was removed, and a former teammate said Springs has been on a respirator since the surgery and no brain activity has been detected.  Springs, who is the father of Redskins cornerback Shawn Springs, also had a kidney transplant in March.  Former teammate Everson Walls donated the kidney.
