Romo Suffers Shoulder Strain in Loss to Patriots
Dallas Cowboys Quarterback, Tony Romo, is reported to have strained his shoulder in Sunday afternoon’s loss to the New England Patriots. DallasCowboys.com columnist, Mickey Spagnola, reports, that while Romo said it was a rotator cuff-strain, Cowboys assistant trainer, Britt Brown, said it was more accurate to call it a shoulder strain.
I don’t think the Cowboys [...]
Good News and Bad News in Cowboys Loss to New England
The Cowboys loss to the New England Patriots today was the first loss for the Cowboys all season. The game was marred with penalties and the defense allowed too many third down conversions. The Patriots went to Texas Stadium and showed the Cowboys and their fans that they are still the gold standard as far [...]

This was the first time the Cowboys were unable to recover from yet another slow, sluggish start to win. After basically giving the Patriots a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, the Cowboys battled back but came up short. After taking a brief 24-21 lead late in the third quarter, New England scored 17 unanswered [...]

Forget all the hoopla surrounding the Sunday afternoon showdown between the New England Patriots and the Dallas Cowboys at Texas Stadium. Forget all the talk that the AFC is the stronger division or that New England’s 5-0 is more impressive than the Cowboys’ 5-0 start. These are all things garnered by the media to make [...]

Amidst all the hype leading into this Sunday’s game between the 5-0 Patriots at the 5-0 Cowboys in Dallas, there is one fact that was mentioned I find very fascinating. This is only the sixth time in NFL history that two undefeated teams have played each other during the season. Let that sink in for [...]

As promised, I will continue the debate I started earlier this week regarding the current practice of calling a timeout from the sideline just prior to the snap of an attempted last-second field goal. This has now occurred three times in six weeks of football, most recently on Monday night in Buffalo when Bills coach [...]

Wade Phillips can officially be called “genius” now if only for his decision to keep R Nick Folk out of Arizona over veteran Martin Grammatica. Folk cooly booted two, not one, but two 53-yard FG’s last night to give the Cowboys an exciting come-from-behind victory over Buffalo, 25-24.
I’m not particularly saying that Grammatica wouldn’t have [...]
Cowboys on a Roll
The Cowboys have been on a roll lately, not only have they gone 4 and 0 but they are also leading the NFL in points, and are second only to New England Patriots in points differential, this after a dismal showing of the Dallas Cowboys defense in game one where they gave [...]
Posted by Nate Acreman on Oct 04 2007Cowboys Deserve Better, But That’s OK With Phillips
As usual, the experts and others in the media fail to credit the Cowboys as a dominant team in the NFL this year because they allegedly haven’t played a good team yet. But these self-same experts are constantly praising the accomplishments of the New England Patriots. Now I am really quite accustomed to this treatment [...]

The Cowboys will get a day off today before returning to practice on Wednesday. Coach Wade Phillips will work on getting the team ready for a road game against the Buffalo Bills this coming Sunday. The Cowboys will likely be without the services of right cornerback Anthony Henry for at least a week. Henry went [...]
