Can Cowboys Beat The Giants To Maintain Division Lead?

cowboys-run-at-eagles.jpgOn paper it would look like a close game, the Giants, winners of six in a row and the Cowboys with only one loss to the undefeated Pats, but looks can be deceiving.  The game this afternoon in the Meadowlands has huge implications for the NFC East, or so it would seem.  If the Giants win, they have a 1-game lead based on some division record thing and if the Cowboys win, then they would obviously have a 2-game lead on the Giants.  Blah, blah, blah.  It’s been talked to death by the commentators and experts, but the fact of the matter is, it is only one of eight games left in the season.

The Cowboys could lose this one and still win the division, the Giants could win this one and still lose the division or get a wildcard, it all still depends on the records at the end of the season.  Let’s not forget the Giants started out 0-2, losing their first two games against the Cowboys and Packers.   The two teams considered by many as the top of the NFC and some have even unbelievably slated the Giants as the best team in the conference.

I say we will all see what’s what today as the Cowboys are going to go to the Meadowlands and come away with yet another victory over a division rival.  Not only do I predict a win, I say they win it easily, as Romo and company have a good day and the defense shuts down the struggling Giants offense for few points.

It’s 9:00 a.m. CST, so you can mark these words and the time issued.  Cowboys are playing better and have only gotten better since they last met and will continue to dominate.  What makes me go out on such a limb, you might ask, I simply think the Dallas O-line is the best and will control the Giants rush like they did last week against Philly.

My prediction, Cowboys 35, Giants 10.
