I was very happy w/ Tony Romo yesterday. I remember thinking that this was the type of game I have seen Tom Brady pull off many a time. And to see Romo do it w/ the same level of pose and skill made me feel highly optimistic about the future. However, I am very concerned about the defense. They have looked absolutely abysmal to me most of the year. In 3 of their last 4 games they have been rolled for a ton of yards and points, by the Redskins, Packers and Lions.

This is not a championship level defense by any means and I fear it will cost them in the end. I think they might be able to “out offense” their opponents to an NFC title but when it comes to the super bowl this defense will cost them and big. They most likely would be playing the Patriots again in Arizona and the way they’re playing now this defense would give up at least 45 points. I actually think New England will end up scoring every time they get the ball in that game.

Dallas has drafted defensive players w/ their top pick in nearly every draft this decade and I certainly don’t see it on the field. Can someone tell me why Tank Johnson, the big free agent signing, is never in the game? As far as I’m concerned they can replace everyone on that defense next year except for Ware, Newman, and Ellis. The novelty of Roy Williams as a hard hitter has worn out for me, as it is absolutely terrifying to watch him in coverage.
