Capers Turns Down Offer to Join Cowboys Coaching Staff

The rumor of Dom Capers joining the Cowboys coaching staff is dead, as the former Dolphins defensive assistant has decided against taking a position according to the Dallas Morning News. The story says that while Capers won’t be joining the staff, the Cowboys will move ahead and hire Brett Maxie as assistant Brett Maxie as assistant DB coach after the team hired Reggie Herring to coach the linebackers Saturday. As of this point, it looks as if Capers will be taking off coaching in 08.
