Cowboys to Allow Tackle Adams to Test Free Agent Market

Adams

It appears that the Cowboys will allow Pro Bowl left tackle Flozell Adams to test the free agent market after all. It was speculated that the Cowboys would franchise the tackle, but now the Dallas Morning News is reporting that the team will see what types of offers he gets, then respond with an offer of their own. The team wants to keep Adams, but are not going to break the bank for him at this point, and if he should get a whopper of an offer and leave, the team would insert Pat McQuistan in his place on the O-line. The team also will look to the draft with their two first round picks and could find a suitable replacement there if need be, or to the free agent market despite the fact there are not a lot of top notch tackles on the market this offseason.

Aw, please not. We need Flozell badly. You can never have too good of an O-Line, especially at the left tackle position.
