Cowboys Lose Another Jones To Free Agency
Yesterday, backup CB/ST player Nate Jones signed a two-year deal with the Dolphins, terms of which were not yet disclosed. So just how many players will Parcells lure away from Big D? So far, only one player lost due to free agency has gone to a team other than Miami and Dallas has signed one away from them, if your keeping score that is.
No great loss in Jones, although he was a decent special teams player, he never really developed into the defensive back he was drafted to be so after five seasons, he was allowed to go elsewhere. During his tenure with the Cowboys, he mainly played on special teams recording 58 tackles and no interceptions. He was given the chance to return some kicks, but never really impressed anyone in either his coverage abilities or return skills. Probably allowed to leave to make room for a draftee who might develop quicker and better. But still, we’ve now taken two hits on special teams so let’s hope we can find some good ones to take their place.

I hear the Dolphins might be planning to steal the star from Texas Stadium next and have intentions of taking the Cowboys Uniforms as well.
