Cowboys Take Felix Jones With Their First Pick In Draft

Jones

With the 22nd overall pick in the ’08 NFL Draft, the Cowboys chose RB Felix Jones out of Arkansas. Now the question will be whether they keep their 28th pick also or trade it for a veteran player. With the possibility of Adam Jones playing this year for Dallas, they might choose a WR or CB with the pick.

Surprise players are still available at both CB and WR, DeSean Jackson and Devin Thomas are two of the best at WR while Mike Jenkins and Kenny Phillips are still available in the secondary. Keeping the 28th pick for one of these quality players may be their best option, but several players could be for the taking in later rounds and Jerry Jones could acquire more players for the pick.

With the 28th pick, Dallas was able to trade-up to no. 25 from Seattle and grab CB Mike Jenkins from South Florida. Still awaiting word on what else they traded for the move up to get Jenkins.
