Still, if Jones or Johnson turn out to be a Reggie Bush type player apart inconsistency, throwing out the injuries (see: '05 season) both the Dallas Cowobys & Tennessee Titans would both be thrilled and estatic!

More snaps for Johnson is more likely because Marion Barber is a workhorse and a legitimate back, unlike LenDale White.

I watched Felix in College @ Arkansas and was impressed by him game-changing, breakaway speed in not the only the run department but in returning kicks also. He is going to help out your guys' special teams unit for sure. Both Jones & Johnson are fun to watch and they can take it back to the crib anytime they get their hands on the rock.

Russ,

Comparing any running back to Reggie Bush does not give me much confidence in that player. Also, it wouldn't surprise me if Johnson does get more snaps, but that's only going to be because Marion Barber is going to be named starter this season. Felix Jones has had a lot of success in the back up role while in college, remember both he and McFadden ran for over 1000 yards each this past season. In college football that is an impressive stat for just one back, never mind two backs.

If they wanted to get that so-called speedster to compliment Marion Barber why didn't they select East Carolina's own - Chris Johnson (4.24, 40) instead of Felix Jones.

Johnson is bigger and faster, and would've fit perfectly. He is being compared to a Reggie Bush type player.

Regardless, both Johnson & Jones have what it takes to be above-average 3rd down backs at the next level. They will just have get to better as pass protectors as pros now because it's no uncommon theme to hear everyone whine & moan about a rookie having to be able to step right in and pick up the blitz schemes/packages, being able to learn 'em all and adjust to what is the most difficult job for a rookie RB.

With that being said, I expect both Johnson/Jones to have good years for their respective teams but I look for Johnson to put up better #s and get more time. Overall, I would've taken Johnson over Jones @ 22. Nonetheless, it was a great deal Dallas made to get Cleveland's pick (while also getting who they wanted in the 1st round in '07. Regardless of the performances of Johnson/Jones there is not much difference between the two and they should both produce right away as rookies on both ST (Kick & Punt Returns) and on offense, especially in the passing department on screens. Needless to say they will do well in whatever role they're in...
