New Cowboys CB Jones Being Allowed to Attend Workouts, Preseason Games

The return of Adam “Pacman” Jones has started, as today it was announced that he will be able to join the Cowboys, his new team for workouts, training camp, and preseason games.  It looks as if this is the first step in him eventually being able to come back full tilt and play in regular season games for the team that acquired him a few weeks back from the Titans.

Commish Roger Goodell said today that no decision on the regular season has been made, but the fact that he’s able to workout and play in the preseason games seems promising for his return.  “Commissioner Goodell told Jones that his continued participation in the NFL depends on demonstrating that he can conduct himself in a lawful and reliable manner,” the NFL said in a statement. “Jones will be expected to continue the personal conduct program established for him by the NFL and the Cowboys and to avoid further adverse involvement with law enforcement.”

The full decision on if Jones can play in the regular season will have to be made by September 1st, but from this decision, I would expect that decision to come sooner.

It looks like the Pacman thing is going to work out. The question as you said is if he can toe the line, but I think we may see a new side of Jones as we did with T.O. when he came here. Guarded optimism!
