The Cowboys are going to go with Cory Procter as their opening day stater at left guard vs the Browns. The news was a bit of a surprise considering the team started Pat McQuistan at left guard in the final preseason game and traded for veteran guard Montrae Holland. Wade Phillips made the announcement following Monday’s practice. Phillips said that Procter gives the Cowboys the best option at guard, over McQuistan and Joe Berger.
