The “Dallas Morning News” reports Cowboys defensive back Adam Jones has checked into an alcohol treatment center. According to the paper, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told reporters in New York on Monday that Jones has entered a rehab facility in another part of the country.
The 25-year-old was suspended indefinitely last week for his most recent violation of the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy. Jones will miss at least the next three games for his alleged involvement in an alcohol-related physical altercation with his bodyguard at a Dallas hotel on October 8th that resulted in hotel employees calling the police.
Jones was suspended for the entire 2007 season for multiple violations of the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy. He was reinstated August 28th of this year after being traded to the Cowboys from Tennessee.
