CB Jones Could be Done for the Year w/ Neck Injury

It’s already been a long and tough season for Adam Jones, but it appears now that the trouble-making Cowboys CB is done for the season after being injured in the 20-13 loss Sunday to the Steelers.  The Dallas Morning News is reporting that Jones will for sure miss Sunday’s game with the Giants, and that there is a very real chance he could be done for the year.

Jones has a neck injury and he is awaiting results of medical tests to determine the extent of the injury.  After he suffered the injury, he was able to come back, but it looks like he may have hurt himself further.

Jones started the first six games before an altercation at a Dallas hotel with a team-issued bodyguard led to a six-game suspension. He returned last week at Pittsburgh and played in the sub defensive packages in addition to returning punts and kickoffs.

Despite the suspension, Jones leads the Cowboys with 13 pass deflections. He also has 28 tackles to go with a forced fumble and fumble recovery.
