CB Newman Puts Locker Room Issues on the Coaches

From: Dallas Morning News
Jason Witten said Thursday during an interview with the Dallas Morning News that he wants the Dallas Cowboys to have accountability, which is why he made sure to pin the blame on himself after the loss in Pittsburgh. While that didn’t work out exactly how Witten hoped, he’s not the only key veteran on the team who sees a lack of accountability as a major issue.
CB Terence Newman brought it up on ESPN’s First Take this morning — and said the coaches are a big part of the problem. “Players make the plays, they give up the plays, they take the blame for that,” Newman said. “When coaches make mistakes around here, there’s nothing said about it. They just go and try to diffuse it, and try to put that blame on somebody else, rather than owning up to it. I think that’s one of the things that’s hurting us as a team, players just not owning up to things that happened, as well as coaches.”
