Someone with the Cowboys found a 2-for-1 coupon to the ankle surgery store. Cornerback Terence Newman and wide receiver Patrick Crayton each had surgery on their ankles. According to the Dallas Morning News, each player should be ready to participate in the offseason program when it starts in March.

Newman had surgery on his left ankle. He missed six games this season, due to a groin injury that required surgery in October. Despite his time on the sideline, Newman led the team with four interceptions.

Crayton had surgery on his right ankle, but didn’t lose any time to injury this season. He lost time to trade acquisition Roy Williams, though, and saw a drop in production. Crayton had 50 catches, 697 yards and seven touchdowns in 2007 but fell to 39 catches, 550 yards and four scores this season.
