Cowboys to Take a Look at Former Jags WR Matt Jones?

The Dallas Morning News reports that the Cowboys could go after now former Jags WR Matt Jones:

A day after his release from an Arkansas jail for a probation violation, Jacksonville cut wide receiver Matt Jones. Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones liked Jones entering the 2005 draft, but Jones ended up in Jacksonville with the 21st overall pick. A former Arkansas quarterback turned receiver, Matt Jones was suspended for three games last year for an arrest on cocaine possession last summer. His recent stay in jail was the result of a failed alcohol test, which violated his probation. Even with the release of Terrell Owens, Jerry Jones has said he is not looking to upgrade at wide receiver through free agency or the draft.
