The Cowboys are always looking to add players, and as we all know they are not afraid to take chances on players who have been in the headlines – good or bad.
With that is the latest report that the team is thinking about the shot to bring back troubled cornerback Adam Jones. The Star Telegram reports that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones “said nothing is imminent or even in the works toward bringing Pacman back to the Cowboys.” But the paper says that Jones thinks it is something worth considering.
Jones was released in January, this after the club gave him a shot in 2008, and he basically wasted it with more off the field drama and then he got hurt and really didn’t make much of an impact with the club in any way.
Another player that has been talked about is former Jags WR Matt Jones. He’s another troubled player that faced drug charges last season, and even though he was solid with the Jags in 08, turning in his best season, the team let him go.
Jones says that currently “the Cowboys have no interest in former Arkansas receiver Matt Jones.”

I have followed Matt Jones since college ball.He did well with the Jags. He would have done better had the ball been sent his way. I watched in awe as the Matt, in the clear, waved, jumped and yelled at his quarterback ho simple could not see Matt’s white face. Sorry, it had to be said. Read the games yourself.
His drug deal was blown clear out of proportion due to his local fame. Broke probation with 2 beers. Two (2) beers on a golf course.
Jerry. Watch out for the martini and beer police.
Forget it! Get over it! He is a good man! We need him!
