Ware Moving Ahead Despite Not Getting an Extension

TrueBlueFanClub.com reports that despite a new deal not getting done, DeMarcus Ware is ready to move forward with the 2009 season:

The Cowboys have had ongoing dialogue with DeMarcus Ware’s agent Pat Dye about a contract extension for the Pro Bowl linebacker. Team owner Jerry Jones and executive vice president Stephen Jones have said there’s no real timetable, but both sides probably would like to have a deal done before training camp starts in late July.

In the meantime, Ware’s keeping his head down and moving forward, letting the negotiators handle that business, saying Tuesday that he’s not concerned that the uncertainty of the NFL’s collective bargaining agreement will prolong the discussions. “I don’t worry about it at all,” said Ware, who has one year left on the rookie contract he signed in 2005. “To tell you the truth, as my father always says, I’ve saved my money from the first blessing that I had, so I’m not really worried about that right now.”
