Romo Says He’s in Shape Despite Reports

Tony Romo spent some time Wednesday talking about that he feels he’s in great shape, and reports to the opposite are wrong:

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo on Wednesday refuted a report earlier this week that his offseason conditioning work is under scrutiny from offensive coordinator Jason Garrett. Without citing a source, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Garrett had what the newspaper described as a “come-to-Jesus” meeting with Romo in which Garrett told Romo he needed to get in better shape to avoid another late-season slump. Romo called the report “silly.”

“There was no such meeting,” Romo said on the final day of a mandatory three-day minicamp. “We live in a world where it’s sensationalized. When you see something or hear something, you write it. That’s completely false.” Romo said he actually tends to do too much conditioning work.
