After reading articles all over this world they call the internet, I have found something truly remarkable. The most common reason that fans have stated for their displeasure with Tony Romo is that the season ticket prices are too high. Really?
Now I know some of the ticket prices for the new stadium in Arlington are rather high, but is that Romo’s fault? Or could the most advanced/expensive arena in the world be to blame. Let’s get real here for a minute, Tony Romo is at the worst the 10th best quarterback in the NFL, at the worst.
The fact of the matter is this, it wouldn’t matter if the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys was Quincy Carter, or Joe Montana, the ticket prices would still be the same after building a $1 billion stadium. And lets face it, anyone who purchased season tickets was probably going to purchase them regardless of who the quarterback was.
Now the reality of the situation, Tony Romo is a solid quarterback going into only his third full season as a starter in the National Football League.
He has a 94.7 percent passer rating, 81 touchdowns, and 10,500 yds passing in two and one-half seasons, as well as a 63.6% completion percentage. Folks, he’s good. Peyton Manning didn’t win the Superbowl in his third season and you shouldn’t expect Romo to either.
