WFAA-TV Speaks to Paralyzed Cowboys Scouting Assistant Behm

WFAA.com today has a story on Rich Behm, the Cowboys scouting assistant who was partially paralyzed in the collapse of the team’s practice facility, as well as a video with the assistant. Here is a portion of that interview:

Rich Behm, the Dallas Cowboys scouting assistant who was partially paralyzed in the collapse of the team’s practice facility in Irving, has talked publicly for the first time about the accident.

Both shy and a little overwhelmed by the attention, Behm addressed a Sunday event to raise money for his recovery.

“[I’m] still going to walk again,” he said. “It’s no big deal. That’s a goal, and so I’m sticking to that.”

Behm was trapped in the wreckage when the tent-like Cowboys practice facility toppled during a storm in May.

“I’m still trying to learn how to deal with what’s happened to me right now in terms of getting on with my normal life,” he said. ” I can’t even drive a car.”
