Ware & Barber Make Injury Report

With the Cowboys returning to the playoffs they need every piece of their team heading into their rematch with Philadelphia this Saturday. Today, linebacker DeMarcus Ware and running-back Marion Barber joined RB Tashard Choice on the injury report.

Ware missed practice with a sore back, but head coach Wade Phillips thinks he will be ready to play on Saturday. Barber’s appearance was a shock after there was no news of an injury following last Sunday’s season finale. Barber has an apparent knee injury. He did practice yesterday but Phillips said today that he has had a setback. Phillips did sound optimistic that Barber will play on Saturday.

Good news for Cowboys fans is that RB Tashard Choice returned to practice after suffering a concussion on Sunday. Choice is hoping to play Satruday, but with the NFL’s new rules around concussion victims it is not yet a sure thing.

Right tackle Marc Colombo has returned to practice and Phillips said it might be possible for him to start this Saturday’s game. Tackle Doug Free has been very impressive in Colombo’s absence and will also see playing time this week.
