Cowboys Open Up In Primetime

The NFL released the 2010/11 schedule today.  The Cowboys are going to open up on NBC’s Sunday Night Football against Washington. Here is a look at the schedule, all times are in EST.

Sunday September 12 – 8:20 pm (NBC) at Washington
Sunday September 19 – 1:00 pm (FOX) vs. Bears
Sunday September 26 – 1:00 pm (FOX) at Houston
Sunday October 3rd – BYE
Sunday October 10 – 4:15 pm (CBS) vs. Titans
Sunday October 17 – 4:15 pm (FOX) at Vikings
Monday October 25 – 8:30 pm (ESPN) vs. Giants
Sunday October 31 – 1:00 pm (CBS) vs. Jaguars
Sunday November 7 – 8:20 pm (NBC) at Packers
Sunday November 14 – 4:15 pm (FOX) at Giants
Sunday November 21 – 1:00 pm (FOX) vs. Lions
Thursday November 25 – 4:15 pm (FOX) vs. Saints
Sunday December 5 – 4:15 pm (FOX) at Colts
Sunday December 12 – 8:20 pm (NBC) vs. Eagles
Sunday December 19 – 1:00 pm (FOX) vs. Redskins
Saturday December 25 – 7:30 pm (NFLN) at Cardinals
Sunday January 2 – 1:00 pm (FOX) at Eagles

As of right now the Cowboys have 5 games for sure in primetime, including the season opener. The amount of primetime games could increase or even decrease depending on the NFL’s flex schedule that begins in the second half of the season.

The Cowboys will play the NFL’s third-toughest schedule, based on the combined 2009 record of their opponents (139-117). Only Houston and Tennessee will face teams with better records from last season (140-116).
