Cowboys Won’t Reduce WR Miles Austin’s Tender

Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin has not signed his restricted free agent tender yet. Starting next Tuesday, the Cowboys can reduce their $3.168 million offer to $1.65 million. While the Cowboys and Austin’s agent, David Dunn, quietly attempt to work out a long-term deal, some other teams’ dealings with their restricted free agents seem to be getting quite contentious. Several teams have sent letters to players saying if they don’t sign by Monday their offers will be reduced. The Cowboys have not sent such a letter to Austin according to Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News.
