Agent Says He Wants Bryant in Camp Before it Starts

The NFP says that the Cowboys are going to do what they can to get their first overall pick, WR Dez Bryant, into camp on time:

Eugene Parker, the agent for Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant, has got a reputation, deserved or not, about holdouts. But he tells the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that he is motivated to get a deal done for Bryant ASAP, and that is a good thing with the Cowboys kicking off their world tour training camp on Saturday. The Cowboys will begin camp in San Antonio before traveling to Canton, Ohio, for the Hall of Fame Game and then heading to California.

“We are going to work to get it done as soon as possible,” Parker told the Star-Telegram. “They want it done. We want it done.” Parker of course represented Michael Crabtree last year when the San Francisco 49ers wide receiver had a holdout that lasted into October. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones talked with Parker before the team selected him and made it clear the team was going to pay Bryant “slot money” as the 24th overall pick.
