McCann Added To Practice Squad

The Cowboys decision to go with three cornerbacks on the roster was a bit surprising. Rookie cornerback Bryann McCann was not expected to make the team, but the Cowboys were hoping to get him on the practice squad because of his potential. The Baltimore Ravens also had there eye on McCann and the swept in and took him before the start of the season. Well, McCann returned to the team on Thursday when he joined the Cowboys practice squad. The Ravens cut McCann on Wednesday with hopes of also signing him to the practice squad.

“(The Ravens) wanted me to be on their practice squad but I just thought this was a better situation for me,” said McCann. “With only three (corners) here, I think I have a good chance of getting called up here. And this is where I was all offseason and I know the coaches and players. So I’m glad to be back.”

McCann has good speed has valuable experience as a return man.
