What’s Wrong With The Cowboys

I am willing to bet that you, like most football fans and analysts, did not see the Cowboys starting the year 0-2. In fact, after last season records, I am sure most of us looked at the schedule and just assumed that the Boys would be 2-0 heading into Houston. Any maybe, some of us thought 3-0 sitting at the bye. But as they say, “That is why they play the games.”

There have been many reasons given for the Cowboys disastrous start. We want to hear from you.

The problem with the Cowboys is a lack of discipline and that falls back on the coaching.
They just haven’t been prepared, you would think a bunch of grown men making the kind of money they make could discipine themselves. But what this team needs is a coach that demands discipline, won’t take crap, and is not afraid to get into a players face.

Statistically, they aren’t doing so terrible, as far as yardage goes. It’s the stupid mistakes that have been bringing this team down. Turnovers, penalties, and flakey play calling are the primary reasons this team is not 2-0 right now. Their defense is great, in my opinion. They held Washington to just 6 points on offense, even with the famous Mike Shanahan at head coach and the talented McNabb leading their new offense. The Bears was a sheer display of poor coaching skills from the cowboys. The coaching staff is having a lot of trouble right now but if the players can avoid these mistakes, they can carry the team to success regardless. I think the players got a wake up call against the Bears, and now that they are going up against the best overall offensive team in the league this weekend who happens to be a growing rival, they are going to step up their game and show us what we have all been waiting for. However, if they keep screwing up, and don’t show any improvement this week, well… I think that’s going to be the way the whole season goes for them.
