Second-year safety Mike Hamlin placed on waivers

Second year safety Mike Hamlin has been placed on waivers by the Cowboys. The team reported the move today.

The 2008 fifth-round pick appeared in 8 games for the Cowboys over the last two seasons, totaling one special teams tackle. Hamlin was a gameday inactive the last two weeks, falling behind undrafted rookies Barry Church and Danny McCray on the depth chart.

During his 48-game career at Clemson, Hamlin (6-2, 218) registered 326 tackles and picked off 14 passes. Those ball-hawking abilities will certainly get the attention of NFL personnel executives scouring the waiver wire today.

Would it bug someone if the Dallas Cowboys STAR was displayed upside down? Would it be offensive? Symbolized a Cowboys helmet, after a tackle or something? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqwxZJQfAxY
