As expected, the Dallas Cowboys have brought up rookie CB Bryan McCann. The Cowboys had an empty roster spot on the 53-man roster after they released second year player Jason Williams on Tuesday.
McCann played his college ball at SMU and played well for the Cowboys in the preseason. Many thought McCann should have made the roster. McCann’s duties will likely be to return kickoffs and play special teams on Sunday night in Green Bay. He might get a shot at playing on “dime” packages as well.
The Cowboys signed rookie CB Ross Weaver to the practice squad to replace McCann. Weaver has spent time with the Dolphins and Seahawks this season.
