Cowboys Add New Safety To Active Roster

Tim MacMahon of ESPN reports the new addition of former Rice safety Andrew Sendjo to the active roster today.

Safety Andrew Sendejo spent less than a week on the Cowboys’ practice squad before getting promoted to the active roster.   The Cowboys made room for Sendejo, a rookie from Rice, by cutting defensive end Jimmy Saddler-McQueen.

Sendejo spent the fall playing for the UFL’s Sacramento Mountain Lions. He ranked second in the league with 48 tackles and had seven pass deflections and two interceptions. The Cowboys didn’t have to pay the UFL’s $150,000 transfer fee because they originally signed Sendejo to the practice squad.

Fullback/defensive end Alex Daniels, who was cut last week to make room for Sendejo, has returned to the Cowboys’ practice squad.
