The big boys are coming out today for the labor talks, as Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas reports that Jerry Jones is at the talks today as woners and players meet in Washington.
We’re close to the deadline to save the 2011 season, or prevent a potential lockout, when the owners and players meet today in Washington, D.C. for a 15th day of mediated discussions.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter said a handful of NFL owners will be in attendance, including Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones.
Jones, who is part of the NFL’s labor committee, attended a labor session last week and left without speaking with reporters. It was funny to see Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson speak with reporters while Jones, one of the NFL’s most visible owners, just walk on by.
Jones has not commented on the labor talks but at the NFL combine was part of a small group of owners who got an update on the labor situation during a meeting.
