Romo Will Try to Qualify for U.S. Open Again

Quarterback Tony Romo will once again attempt to qualify for the U.S. Open according to Rainer Sabin of the Dallas Morning News.

On May 9, Romo will compete in the 18-hole local qualifying round at Stonebridge Ranch and Country Club in McKinney. If he advances, he would have to survive a second 36-hole round in order to make the field at the U.S. Open, which will take place June 16-19 at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Md.

Of course, with the ongoing work stoppage leaving the NFL in a holding pattern, Romo shouldn’t have conflicts in his schedule this year.
