July 28th the Open for Training Camp for the Cowboys

The Cowboys tentatively plan to open up training camp at the Alamodome in San Antonio on July 28, Rainer Sabin of the Dallas Morning News reports.

The original plan was to open up camp on July 26, 16 days before their preseason opener at Cowboys Stadium against the Denver Broncos on Thursday, August 11. Sabin adds that the Cowboys are looking into the possibility of pushing the Broncos’ game back to August 13.

There are no conflicts in Arlington, Texas that weekend, as the Texas Rangers will be on the road playing the Oakland A’s. Both the Cowboys and Broncos second preseason game is scheduled for August 20, giving the teams plenty of time between games.

Dallas’ training camp agreement with San Antonio expires this year.
