Cowboys Sign Undrafted Free Agent CB Mario Butler

The Cowboys have a new cornerback, as undrafted Georgia Tech CB Mario Butler has tweeted that he is joining the Cowboys for training camp.

Butler is 6-2, and 180 pounds. Here’s a scouting report on Butler and what he brings to the table for the Cowboys.

2010: Played in all 13 games…48 total tackles (33 solo)…2 tackles for loss…1 interception and 7 passes defended in 2010…2009: Enjoyed the best season of his career to date… started all 14 games…recorded 45 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, three pass break-ups and two interceptions…2008: Improved week to week as a starter at cornerback… had 41 total tackles, including 33 solo tackles… had one interception, four pass break-ups and 3.5 tackles-for-loss…2007: Played in all 12 regular season games… credited with three tackles on the season — all solo tackles.
