Cowboys Gab Season Predictions

Super Bowl 46 is set for Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN, February 5th, 2012

One of my favorite things to do is give my predictions for the entire league’s 32 NFL Teams. I’m often wrong, but it usually gets some good conversations going. So, here is my NFL predictions for each division and then the conference championship, and finally the Super Bowl.

AFC East
y-New England Patriots 11-5

Buffaol Bills 3-13

x-Pittsburgh Steelers 11-5
Cleveland Browns 6-10
Cincinnati Bengals 4-12

AFC South
y-Houston Texans 10-6

AFC Championship Game

NFC West
y-St. Louis Rams 9-7
Arizona Cardinals 8-8
San Francisco 49ers 7-9
Seattle Seahawks 4-12

NFC South
z-Atlanta Falcons 11-5
x-New Orleans Saints 10-6
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 9-7
Carolina Panthers 6-10

NFC North
z-Green Bay Packers 14-2
Detroit Lions 9-7
Chicago Bears 9-7
Minnesota Vikings 6-10

NFC East
y-Philadelphia Eagles 11-5
It is hard to pick against the Eagles winning the division. They made a lot of high priced free agent additions. The questions remain on the offensive line and wether the Eagles can get a consistent pass rush. The team will go only as far as Michael Vick takes them. He has to make good decisions with the ball and keep his level of play consistent.

x-Dallas Cowboys 9-7
Jason Garrett’s first full year at the helm. With a healthy Tony Romo and lots of weapons on offense the question for the Cowboys is on defense. Will they respond in Rob Ryan’s defense or will this be more of the same from virtually the same players as last year.

New York Giants 9-7
I’m never sold on the Giants. I think Eli Manning is overrated and the defense, while impressive up front, lacks playmakers in the back end. The Giants have some good weapons on offense but I think their defense will let them down this year.

Washington Redskins 6-10
I don’t know how you can be confident in your team going into the season with Rex Grossman as your quarterback. Especially after he didn’t really out play, backup, John Beck. The defense will have to carry the Redskins this season.

NFC Championship
Atlanta Falcons 33 – Green Bay Packers 31

Super Bowl
San Diego Chargers 35 – Atlanta Falcons 31

There it is. My 2011 NFL predictions. What do you think? Who is your pick for the season? How do you think the Cowboys will do this year?

  1. Tony M says:

    Come on, 9-7? 11 – 5 or 12 – 4. Giants won’t be .500.

    Keep up the good work
