The Cowboys offense has a trio of key pieces uncertain for the team’s home opener on Monday night against the NFC East rival Redskins.
Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett on wide receiver Dez Bryant: “We’ll see. We’re hopeful.”
On quarterback Tony Romo: “I think he’s doing fine. He’s getting his rehab. [Sunday in SF was] a gutty effort by him. He a very competitive guy.”
On wide receiver Miles Austin: “He’s been battling this hamstring for weeks.”
All three offensive playmakers are considered “day-to-day.”
Lastly, Garrett did not seem confident that cornerback Terence Newman (groin; hasn’t played this season) would play against 2-0 Washington.
Redskins secondary: Both LaRon Landry and Josh Wilson were limited participants during Wednesday’s practice session.
