Cowboys Have Less To Lose, More To Gain Vs. Eagles

The Cowboys have battled through major injuries on offense – Bryant, Austin, Romo, Felix Jones – and fourth quarter collapses to get to 3-3, despite having played their top three out-of-division common opponents: the 49ers, Patriots and Jets.

They’re getting guys back, including rookie LB Bruce Carter who may not play much right away. The Cowboys are #1 against the run, facing an Eagles team that is tops in the NFL with 170 yards running per week.

The Cowboys should win this game as they have executed Ryan’s system better than the Eagles have , and the Cowboys – with worse coaching – have beaten the Eagles 4 of the last 5 meetings. The Eagles need this game more because
1. It’s at the Linc.
2. They have one more loss than the Cowboys and one more divisional loss than the Cowboys.

Looking at the Giants and Eagles schedules, it’s clear theirs are tougher down the stretch.

This may be the game of the week and the Eagles’ defense – mostly Kurt Coleman – came up big with their backs against the wall at Fed Ex Field. I still believe the Cowboys will be able to move the ball on Philadelphia and I trust Garrett-Ryan to find more flaws and attack them more tactically, than I trust Reid-Castillo.

Hit “Like” if you expect the Eagles to be knocked out of the playoff hunt after this battle is over.
