Romo shines; Murray continues to impress

Dallas had early red zone issues, unable to score from the one yard line and a Dez Bryant fumble as he was about to cross the goal line. Romo and company would get their act together, totaling 279 yards with 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. Romo played a nearly perfect game on his end, his 19/31 passing more a result of dropped passes and miscommunication than any accuracy issues.

DeMarco Murray has all but cemented himself in the starting rotation by racking up 139 yards this week. Since his debut as a starter, Murray has posted 253, 74, 139 yards rushing and taken much of the pressure off Romo. Murray was the dimension Romo needed to be effective and the Cowboys will only improve offensively once Felix Jones returns.

I see Jones going back to more of the change of pace back he was behind Barber two years ago which will make the Cowboys scheme more effective and allow for more quality touches from each back. If the Boys can heal defensively, they are another team primed for a solid second half of the season.

Also of note is the injury to Miles Austin’s hammy once again. Laurent Robinson has been an excellent fill in and has proven he can produce the same as Austin when called upon. Regardless of his status, the Cowboys shouldn’t miss a beat.
