Claiborne Won’t be Ready for June Minicamp

Cowboys top draft pick Morris Claiborne had surgery on his left wrist in March and has been in a soft cast since early May when he had pins removed from his wrist.

Despite reports this week that he hoped to be ready to get on the field in time for the Cowboys’ June minicamp, Claiborne won’t make his debut for with the team until training camp, according to a report by Bryan Broaddus of DallasCowboys.com via the Dallas Morning News.

Cowboys training camp begins in late July.

Tony Romo, quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, disagreeing recently with Jerry Jones and how he sees the window closing on opportunities on the field:
“It’s not closing. I think there’s a sense of urgency every year that you play, whether it’s your first year in the league or your 22nd. You never know when all that stuff is going to happen, so you just play every year as if it’s an urgent day.”
