CB Mike Jenkins Set to Go vs Seahawks Sunday

The Dallas Morning News reports that it appears that Mike Jenkins will be on the field against the Seahawks on Sunday.

Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins said that he will be ready to play Sunday at Seattle. Starting center Phil Costa won’t be, however, and it’s still uncertain whether nose tackle Jay Ratliff can improve enough to make his season debut.

Jenkins missed the entire off-season and pre-season recovering from reconstructive right shoulder surgery. He will practice in pads for the first time Wednesday and said he expects to play against the Seahawks.

“That’s the plan,” Jenkins said. Jenkins practiced Monday, but it remains unclear how exactly he’ll fit into the Cowboys’ defense.

“He’s been mostly an outside cornerback for us, so we want to get him back comfortable doing what he does,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said.
