Stephen Jones Defends His Father Jerry

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones stood up for his dad, Jerry, on Friday, saying there’s another championship in Jerry Jones’ future as owner and general manager, the Dallas Morning News reports.

“We’re gonna win a championship sooner than later with Jerry at the helm,” Stephen Jones said on KRLD-FM 105.3, according to Jeff Cavanaugh (@JC1053).

Jones’ Cowboys have won three Super Bowl titles (1992, 1993, 1995), but since 1997 the Cowboys have a 135-135 record and one playoff win.

  1. G. Barrett says:

    J. Jones and his “window” opened and closed with the hiring and firing of J. Johnson. A minimum of 5 Super Bowls (maybe more)were flushed by Jones constant meddling and incredibly misplaced ego. Karma simply doesn’t stand by for that. J. Jones family will NOT see another SB as long as they own the Cowboys.
