When your talking about sports and about the NFL in specific, you need offensive playmakers if your going to compete for a title.
When in comes to the Dallas Cowboys, there’s no doubt that their biggest offensive playmamker is wide out Dez Bryant. Like it or not, as Bryant goes, so do the Cowboys.
So if the Cowobys are going to be good in 2014, they had better start working on trying to make Bryant, who is due to be a free agent after the this season, a happy and very rich player.
Bryant is set to make $1.78 million on the final year of his rookie contract. The wide out has already publicly stated that he wants to stay in Dallas, but it’s not going to be cheap to keep him around.
There’s six receivers in the NFL that are making $11 million per season. Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Percy Harvin, Mike Wallace, Dwayne Bowe and Vincent Jackson are the six, and other than Johnson, you can make the argument that Bryant is better than the rest.
Last season with 93 catches for 1,233 yards and 13 TD’s, he showed that he can dominate. Now it’s time for the Cowboys to reward him, and make sure he doesn’t reach free agency. They had better do it soon, as the longer it drags on the harder it may be to make him happy.
