Cowboys to Stick with Dak Prescott at QB Sunday Against Cleveland

Dak Prescott

After leading the Cowboys to an overtime win over the Eagles on Sunday night, owner Jerry Jones made the only announcement that he could – Dak Prescott will be the Cowboys’ starting quarterback Sunday at the Browns.

Tony Romo is still not ready to play, and has had one limited practice since suffering a compression fracture in his back late in the preseason against the Seattle Seahawks.

“Tony’s making a lot of progress,” Jones said. “We’re excited about that, but at this particular time I don’t have any more [to] clarify. My opinion is Dak will start against Cleveland.”

Prescott didn’t have his best night against the Eagles, hitting 19 of 39 passes for 287 yards. He threw two touchdown passes, including the winner to Jason Witten on the opening drive of overtime, and was intercepted once.

In overtime, Prescott completed all five passes for 56 yards and converted a fourth-and-1 with a quarterback sneak.
