Cowboys Wide Out Ryan Switzer Recovering From Offseason Ankle Surgery

Cowboys wide receiver Ryan Switzer is recovering from offseason ankle surgery according to Mickey Spagnola of dallascowboys.com.

The procedure was necessary to remove bone spurs and Switzer is expected to be healed in time for the start of OTAs. A fourth round pick out of North Carolina in 2017, Switzer was primarily active on special teams during his rookie season with the Cowboys. If the team moves on from slot receiver Cole Beasley this offseason, the 23-year-old Switzer is the most likely candidate to fill that role in 2018.
