Cowboys LB Sean Lee to Continue Playing in 2020; Will Test Free Agent Market

Sean Lee’s NFL career is going to continue, but the Cowboys linebacker is not sure if it will be in Dallas next season.

NFL.com reports that the 33-year-old linebacker’s agent told Ian Rapoport Lee will play in 2020, but that he’ll test the free agent market in March.

He didn’t rule out a possible return to the Cowboys, according to his agent.

Lee recorded 86 tackles, four passes defended, one interception and one sack in 2019.

He was banged up for most of 2017 and 2018, playing in just 18 of 36 games.

Lee did play in every game last season, putting up double-digit tackle totals in two of his final five games of the campaign in a demonstration of his ability to still play the game as a starting-caliber defender.

With all the drama about the Cowboys free agents to be, one has to wonder that if they will have any focus left on Lee or will have to simply let him go.
