It’s been somewhat quiet on the Dak Prescott front as of late, but the latest numbers that are being thrown around are staggering if true.
The rumor comes from an PFT’s Chris Simms, who made an appearance on 105.3 The Fan’s K&C Masterpiece.
“From what I know of the situation, and I know from some people who are in the know that he’s been offered five years, $175 million,” Simms said.
“He wants a four-year deal. If they do agree to a five-year deal they would like a really big number at the end of that fifth year to cover their butts for what the market might be at the position five years from now. And I’ve heard he’s asking for somewhere like north of $45 million in that fifth year.”
That’s a lot of dollars to be turning down, and if Prescott does, you have to wonder what exactly it is going to take to keep him in Dallas.
Prescott should definitely accept this offer and not only benefit his personal career but also benefit the Cowboys. He is no doubt an essential player for the team. From the looks of this Cowboys Outlook here https://prosportsoutlook.com/outlooks/?league=nfl&team=2430, Prescott is set to be a top tier player for at least this season and the next. It’’ be interesting to see what he does with this offer and what his future career will end up looking like.
