Jones Talks About the Broncos Saga Sunday at QB, Says Cowboys Had Similar Situation

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke out today about the situation regarding the Denver Broncos and their quarterback saga they faced Sunday when they played the New Orleans Saints.

Kendall Hinton hit just one pass in nine tries for 13 yards with two interceptions in a 31-3 loss to the Saints, this due to the fact that the other quarterbacks on the roster for Denver were not able to play after being in close contact and having to go on the covid-19/reserve list.

Jones knows all too well about having a tough situation at QB in 2020, and talked about it Tuesday on 105.3 The Fan.

“I don’t know that Denver had any more of a challenge than we’ve had with DiNucci or with the young quarterbacks that we’ve had,” Jones said.

Ben DiNucci is the rookie QB that started for the Cowboys against the Eagles back in week eight, and he was pretty bad as the Cowboys fell to Philly 23-9.

The rookie was filling in for Dak Prescott and backup Andy Dalton, both were not able to play due to injury.

DiNucci was a seventh-round pick of the Cowboys this past season, and while he might not be in the same situation Hinton was in, Jones does have a point that it’s been a tough year to watch QB’s around the NFL struggle.
