Sunday’s effort against the Browns was one of the most frustrating in recent memory for the Cowboys, and one reason were the two turnovers the team had in the second quarter that completely changed the momentum.
One of the turnovers was thanks to running back Ezekiel Elliott, who has now coughed up the ball three times this season.
It was also the third game in a row the team has had multiple turnovers.
Elliott spoke about giving up the ball on Wednesday to the team’s official website, saying basically “no more.”
“I can’t give up the ball anymore. . . . It hurts,” Elliott said.
“I look at myself as a leader for this team. And I look at myself as someone who’s supposed to help pick the team up when we get down and not be the cause of falling behind.”
The teams had nine turnovers in the last three weeks – and despite scoring 109 points are 1-3 and need a win badly Sunday against the divisional rival Giants.
